Introducing Linda White

Background

Active in the not-for-profit sector for 30 years, I'm switching it up! After many years in social work and management, I find now that helping people through working with their body's health is a great fit for me. I am excited and awed by the power of this kind of healing work.

The beginning...
I was intrigued when a craniosacral therapist put her hands on my ankles and could tell me what was going on in my body! She said I felt like someone who'd just had major surgery - this was a few days after my husband died. Really? I had no idea I was in such a state of physical shock. Through BCST, I became more aware of, able to listen to, and know what my body needed at this moment. Before, I had usually waited for aches and pains to alert me. Now, I can tune in to stresses and discomfort before an acute episode (most days). I took a 2-year training from Body Intelligence and started practicing in 2013.

My approach
I take a 'whole person' or holistic approach to healing, and deeply acknowledge the interconnectedness of body, mind and spirit. Working with the nervous system and the natural rhythms of tissues and fluids, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) creates optimal conditions for healing and a sense of well being. This therapy works! I'd love to try it with you!
